It's all about CD 2.

Spooky

Spooky is famous for their ultra minimal, dreamy song, “Belong,” and for collaborating with Sasha on his Airdrawndagger and Involver albums. “Belong” has two versions on this release. The first CD is the originals. Pretty electronic tones carefully back delicate vocals that float the songs along. This makes good background music but lack any interesting melodies or beats to warrant one’s full attention. The second CD mostly contains remixes. The vocals and instruments get sparse with a dub beat added in- and this works, making the second CD the one you¹ll keep in your player. The remixes get darker making the songs more “spooky.” This gives the songs more depth and makes for more interesting listen, where the first CD prods along with formulaic song writing. If you¹re looking for a nice Chill CD, buy this for CD 2.
